Starting as Royal Dutch Salt Industries (KNZ) in the Netherlands, we first obtained our products by means of evaporation in open pans. The salt was dissolved in underground salt layers, formed hundred of millions of years ago. In 1926, we adopted the far more energy efficient method of vacuum evaporation. Around 1963 we extended our business by starting salt production in Denmark, to serve the Scandinavian markets as well.<\/p>\n<p>These days, Salt Specialties is one of the world's leading salt specialists, supplying high-quality products for all different kinds of applications. Salt Specialties exports its products throughout the whole world. These products cover a broad spectrum of grain sizes, ranging from micro fine, to coarse salt, to compacted products.<\/p>\n<p>Our business is well known for the strong brand names under which its products are sold, such as Jozo\u00ae, Nezo\u00ae, KNZ\u00ae, Sanal\u00ae, Suprasel\u00ae, Broxo\u00ae including our sodium reduction solution, OneGrain\u00ae.
