Our long history has made us master the skills salt extraction.

We still source our natural prestine salt from underground caverns in the Netherlands and Denmark, which were created millions of years ago by the evaporation of ancient seas.

Hengelo Salt Production

In 1926, we adopted the far more energy-efficient method of vacuum evaporation. When the Twente-Rijn canal was built in the early ‘30s, we moved our plant to Hengelo, taking advantage of the waterway connections.

Mariager Salt Production

Around 1963 we extended our business by starting salt production in Denmark, to serve the Scandinavian markets as well.
